TBC November | Employment law update – Labour’s new deal for working people
Led by Law firm Harrison Drury, an employment law update given Labour’s sweeping reforms to employment law that they have pledged to lay before Parliament within 100 days of being elected, some of which are likely to have a significant impact on businesses in the tourism sector. |
2nd December | Christmas social event at Holmes Mill
A purely social event for members at the bowling alley Holmes Mill. Food and fun and an opportunity to network. 7pm |
9th January | Accessibility Workshop
This workshop aims to help businesses in the tourism industry embrace accessibility and cater to a growing market of travellers with disabilities. |
4th February | Sustainability Workshop
This workshop aims to help businesses in the tourism industry embrace sustainability with practical advice on measures to improve environmental performance as well as attract new visitors. |

The annual Ribble Valley Tourism Gathering has become the must-attend event for anyone involved in the local visitor economy.
It is an opportunity to-
- Network with colleagues from the local tourism industry
- Meet suppliers of local products and services
- Participate in our business seminar
- Literature Exchange – promote your business and learn about others
- Meet representatives of tourism and hospitality courses from local colleges and UCLAN
- Meet students soon to be seeking employment in this sector
- Join our celebration of Tourism in Ribble Valley

The Ribble Valley Tourism Gathering is organised by Ribble Valley Borough Council and the Ribble Valley Tourism Association. It is attended by representatives from local tourism business, including hotels, restaurants, shops, holiday cottages, attractions caravan parks, and wedding venues.

This workshop is kindly being facilitated by Harrison Drury (RVTA members) and will be interactive, providing useful tips and information for members which they will be able to use when situations arise in their businesses.
11am-12 noon
A short consultation exercise regarding the Council’s future plans for tourism promotion as well as the usual opportunity to network and exchange information. There will also be the chance to look around the hotel.
