The Lovely Cow Shed is a catering and event business located on our family farm in Thornley. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I lost my closest best friend (and employer) and therefore my job as well, which took its toll mentally and financially.
One night I created a delicious meat and cheese grazing table for my family and posted it on my Facebook page. I received numerous comments and private messages from customers I knew from my work in the café, asking if my food was available to order, that got me thinking.
I have lived in Longridge all my life, surrounded by the countryside. I have the deepest respect for nature in all its forms, and my values reflect this. My mission is to support the local community by providing good food sourced locally and hosting educational, enjoyable, and memorable events. My values are to:
- Deliver high-quality food using only the best local fresh ingredients sourced from local suppliers
- Serve the local community with a range of educational and mindful workshops and events
- Support the local business community by hosting business networking events
- Respect and care for the environment by using eco-friendly materials where possible
